History
Vetsearch International commenced operation as 'Medical Research' in 1936. Medical Research was originally involved in the chemical industry, manufacturing chemicals for industrial use.
In 1950 Medical Research launched our flagship product Feramo H, which was unique for it's time, being the only vitamin and mineral supplement specifically designed for the needs of Racehorses in Australia.
Over the next 20 years a wide range of innovative feed and nutritional supplements were developed for horses and performance dogs, and in the early 1970s the company changed the name of the veterinary part of the business to Vetsearch International.
Highlights of this period include the development of 'Ironcyclen' a liquid iron supplement - the first in the world to use the innovative 'wine cask' packaging to ensure freshness of contents, plus the electrolyte supplements Humidimix and Stressalyte - essential for the hot Australian summer conditions.
In the 1980s Vetsearch released Circulon for treatment of the debilitating equine disorder, Navicular Disease; Karma, to calm nervous horses; and Recharge - the sports drink for horses and greyhounds.
The 1990s saw the release of Founderguard - the only preventative against feed induced
Founder; FBC Bloodfood - a short course blood 'booster'; Kof Kontrol; and the addition of the natural anabolic trace mineral Chromium, to Feramo H.

Don’t mix calcium in pure bran mashes as calcium binds with the bran and will be less available to the horse.
